Phil, this may be of interest. I had a leak of fresh water getting into a locker through a 1/4" drain hole in the bottom corner of the locker. I eventually traced it to the scupper located in a corner with the corroded hole facing outboard and some what inaccessible.

In a Sceptre the icebox/refrig compartment unit is free of the hull and water was draining down between the inner moulding and the hull and rising up into the locker through the 1/4" drain hole. I would sponge 4 or 5 inches out and the next day find more water because I was removing it faster than it could drain in. Incidentally the scupper fitting is just a standard chromed brass wash basin drain.
